摘要

In this paper, we introduce MIN, a novel method for assigning wavelengths to nodes dynamically on a nanophotonic network to minimize the impact of process variations (PVs). Among the available wavelengths on a waveguide, a subset of them, called bubbles, are left intentionally unused. These bubbles are then borrowed by nodes dynamically to improve the channel utilization. We present an express wavelength regulation approach to manage these assignments efficiently. Evaluation results reveal that MIN can recover 80% of bandwidth loss due to PVs and achieve 41% trimming power reduction compared to state-of-the-art alternative approaches.
