Automated storage and retrieval system is a very important research direction of industrial logistics. The emergence of four-way shuttle has significantly improved the automation of the entire system, and the related research on four-way shuttle storage and retrieval system is currently a hot issue. This paper introduces the automatic equipment composition of four-way shuttle storage and retrieval system and analyzes the operation flow. On this basis, the scheduling optimization model is established by using the genetic algorithm combined with the crossover mutation operator to study the effect of four-way shuttle and elevator on the operation efficiency of the storage system under different scheduling paths. Finally, the simulation results show that scheduling work according to the path obtained after model optimization can significantly improve the operating efficiency of the system. The research shows that the model can effectively obtain a better scheduling path, and has certain guiding significance for the actual operation of the industrial automated warehouse.
