Factors Causing the Lack of PVX Layer in FPC Bonding Zone of Large Size LCD Products and Its Improvement

In this paper, we researched the factors causing the lack of PVX layer in FPC bonding zone of large size LCD Products. We found after FPC bonding, many large size LCD products occurred the lack of PVX layer. By comparing with the thickness of different product's PVX layer, increase of PVX layer's thickness can reduce the severity of layer's lack. Through experiments of FPC bonding, the results show that FPC's Golden Finger design also can affect the lack of PVX layer. And through other researches, it is found that sealant's position at Q-panel and process parameters are factors causing the lack of PVX layer. Based on this, by increasing the distance from the edge of panel to the edge of PVX layer of FPC bonding area, the lack of PVX layer can be effectively decreased.
