A hybrid Fuzzy Fractional Order Proportional Derivative-Fractional Order Proportional Integral (hFOFPD-FOPI) controller is suggested here as a kind of neo-control approach to deal with AGC problem in an interconnected multiple area electrical power system. A recent and originally developed optimization approach namely Multiverse Optimization algorithm is deployed to get the optimized parameters of hFOFPD-FOPI controller, employing Integral of Squared Error (ISE) criterion. The paramountcy of the conceptualized controller is ensured while compared with the results of various control methodologies with different optimization techniques based controllers. Further the sensitivity analysis is performed followed by implementation on real time simulation environment. The challenge of Load Frequency Control (LFC) has always been a vital issue for a power system which can be suitably tackled by the proposed controller.
