In this particular work a hybrid fuzzy based fractional order proportional integral derivative and fractional order proportional integral (hFFOPID-FOPI) controller is recommended for the controlling of load frequency of multiple area interconnected power system. Here a two-area four unit system with one unit thermal and another with hydro are taken for analysis purpose. In every unit hFFOPID-FOPI controller has been implemented. Differential Evolution (DE) technique is considered as an optimizing tool for the controller parameters evaluation. The sovereignty of the given technique is justified by comparing the outcomes of different PI controllers with GA and ZN tuned optimization and with fuzzy based hybrid PSO-PS tuned optimization used for the alike power system network. Here sensitivity analysis is performed and sturdiness of the recommended method is established.
