Metrological Assurance of Software Reliability in Oil Industry

Existing corporate information systems have a large amount of software (software), which is growing at an explosive rate. The main consumer of information systems are the objects of the oil industry, which plays a special role in the Russian economy. The world market of oil refining software for 2017 was estimated at $3.1 billion. It is forecast that in the coming years the market will grow substantially faster than in the period 2009-2017 - by almost 20% per year, and by 2024 will reach a volume of 14.7 billion dollars. The objects of the oil industry are complicated from the point of view of automation, since an incident or an accident can bring not only millions of losses, but also cause local environmental disasters, and also lead to numerous casualties among civilians. The main negative impact on the environment occurs in case of accidents on the pipeline, in pipelines and in the operation of equipment beyond the normative period. The article presents an assessment of the life cycle of the software developed by the authors according to the relevant standards of the groups: IEEE, ISO, EIA and IEC. The main errors in the software developed by the authors applied in the oil industry are considered.
