It is widely recognized that the dynamic models of Hypersonic Vehicles (HV) exist strong coupled and highly nonlinear. In this paper, a compound control method combines active disturbance rejection (ADRC) with slide mode control (SMC) is proposed by analyzing the longitudinal model of HV. This paper designs the ADRC controller for the velocity control and SMC controller for the height control separately. The extended state observers (ESO) are used to estimate the nonlinear component in the velocity loop and height loop. The simulation results show that the control method developed has good performance and robustness.
