摘要

In this paper, a system to support professors in the assessment process for the paper-based examination procedure is presented. The aim of this contribution is to provide professors with tools that can help them in their assessing of the knowledge acquired by the students on the basis of the outcomes of the written exams. The platform covers all stages involved in the process including the creation and grading of those exams. The system has three main repositories: (i) an educational objects cards repository composed by a set of cards, which are used for recommending educational contents to a specific student; (ii) an exam questions repository composed by a set of questions previously used in past exams; and (iii) an explanatory objects repository composed by a set of objects that are used by the professor to explain to the student the mistake made in an exam question together with an educational content recommendation. The platform also has two assistant modules, one for the creation of the exams, and the other one to assist the assessment process (this last one including an educational content recommender).
