Multifractal analysis of sea clutter and target detection based on the Wavelet Leaders method

To further research the multifractality of sea clutter, multifractality of IPIX radar sea clutter has been analyzed by Qth-order Moment Structure Partition Function (QMSPF) method and Wavelet Leaders (WL) in detail in this paper. Through simulation analysis, four target detection parameters based on the analysis of the multifractal spectrum are proposed and proved to be effective. The accuracy of the detection method based on α0 by using WL is found to be close to 100%.
