1. Need to move risk assessment from the current "numbers game" back to its decision-analytic roots of a process to understand role of uncertainty in public health concerns 2. Integrated uncertainty analysis provides a path forward that can offer insight over numbers 3. Model uncertainty is difficult to address but not impossible 4. A challenge is presented to researchers from both disciplines to combine forces to: 4.1 Find innovative ways to use classical statistical metrics to inform subjective weights on model choice for risk calculations 4.2 Find innovative ways to use professional judgments about plausibility of risk calculations to inform weights on model choices.
