Vehicular Ad hoc Networks are an emerging tech- nology. VANETs and MANETs (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) share the same principle. Hence most protocols such as AODV (Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing) and DSR (Dynamic Source Routing) which are working on MANET can be also applicable on VANET. However VANET differs from MANET by its dynamic topology due to the vehicle's frequently fast movement. So we propose a new scheme for the V2V (vehicle to vehicle) communications with modified AODV protocol. We add the two metric to the existing AODV hello messages to determine whether neighbor is front of itself. At the link failure time, our protocol determines direction of destination node and broadcasts message to its neighbors with TTL set to 1. Nodes which are received broadcast message look at the direction flag and then forward if it has a path to the destination and previous node's direction relative to itself is equal to direction flag or drop if it has not path to the destination or direction flag is not equal to previous node's direction relative to itself.
