PURPOSE: A method for rapidly repairing a route based on an AODV in an ad hoc network is provided to reduce time required for repairing the route, reduce waste of network bandwidth, and increase a data packet processing rate to a destination node. CONSTITUTION: According as route disconnection is generated at a predetermined node of an AODV(Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing), each node receives an RREQ message used before the route disconnection. Each node compares a DSN(Destination Sequence Number) and hop counts to a destination node in the RREQ(Route Request) message. If DSN and hop counts satisfy a condition not creating loop, new generation of a route to the destination node is flooded to a disconnected upper node and neighboring nodes. A GRREP(Gratuitous Route Replay) message increasing the DSN by 1 is generated to be unicasted to the destination node. Disconnected lower nodes update sequence number to the destination node by the destination node.
