Supply Chain Management (SCM) is one of the most advanced theories in the 21st century, while its application is still immature in the field of real estate in China. This paper mainly focused on the risk of SCM during the operation of the whole project. First of all, it analyzed the characters of real estate development based on the supply chain management. Secondly it identified risks of crucial links in the supply chain, and pointed out three major supply chain risks-the risk of information transmission resulting from Bullwhip Effect, the risk of moral hazard resulting from principal-agent problem,, and the risk of adverse selection resulting from asymmetry information. Thirdly, it summarized the corresponding measures for different risks, such as maintaining supply chain flexibility, establishing information network, improving incentive mechanism, transferring risks through contracts. Finally, the paper has a discussion on future research trend.
