EMPIRICAL ASSESSMENT OF CSFS INFLUENCING BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATIONS IN ENGINEERING ASSET MANAGEMENT ORGANISATIONS

摘要

This paper presents and discusses the critical success factors (CSFs) impacting Business Intellignece (BI) systems implementation in engineering asset management (EAM) organisations. The research framework and the associated CSFs are delineated through a series of case studies in EAM organisations. The empirical findings substantiate the construct and applicability of the framework. More significantly, the research further reveals that those organisations which address the CSFs from a business orientation approach will be more likely to achieve better results. That is, BI stakeholders not only have to focus on those CSFs, but also to plan, manage and address the CSFs via business-oriented approach in improving the likelihood of implementation success.
