Various defects encountered during the run of industrial heating furnace often can lead to the destruction of heating furnace and death of human beings, bring about serious safety accidents, In order to ensure the running safety of heating furnace, it is very necessary for detecting the thickness of heating furnace wall. This paper introduced the basic principle and structure of Rapid Detection System (RDS) of burning loss of heating furnace wall, and described the method of programming the BLPTAS(Burning Loss Percent Test and Analysis Software). By the experiment under two working conditions at the furnace chamber temperature of 600°C and 1000°C, its detection accuracy can be within 2%, meet the practice demands of rapid detection. Test data about burning loss of the furnace wall can be accurately provided, and analysis, expert-level evaluation and instruction also can be obtained by use of this technology, so as to minimize safety hazards and ensure the safe run of heating furnace.
