To meet the challenges of the New Age in Steel STEIN HEURTEY has introduced a new generation of reheat furnaces What can this new furnace do for the end user? Improve reheating quality with reduced skid marks by optimising the skid geometry and button design and the ability to control product temperature profile over the whole operating range of the furnace. Maximise production by giving higher overall furnace efficiency, increasing time between shutdowns and reducing maintenance costs (minimise operating costs). Give unrivalled flexibility, using Digit@l combustion control with a virtual zoning concept. Heat demand is controlled by the firing duration of the burners rather than by the modulation of the air and fuel flows. This allows de-coupling of the heat transfer and atmosphere control from the heat demand. With the removal of the old drawback of fixed zones, the virtual zoning concept allows maximum flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the steel producers' own customers. Reduce emissions by using burners with patented wide flame technology giving ultra low NOx emissions, meeting the most stringent regulations. Facilitate operation using STEIN HEURTEY's level 2 thermal optimising and supervision package giving unrivalled precision and stability of control. The level 2's "active pacing" software also ensures maximised productivity by matching the furnace and mill at all times.
