In this study, the heat behavior of Takamatuzuka tumulus from the mural paintings discovery to the installation of the facility is analyzed, and the different sun-shading methods are investigated. After the excavation, the annual average and the amplitude of indoor temperature become large. Using the sun-shading panel in the area of excavation is an effective method to reduce the average indoor temperature and the amplitude of the indoor temperature. It is future tasks for the analysis considering coupled heat and moisture transfer, the actual conditions of the mound and outdoor climate, and so on.
