ZnO/SnS heterostructures were fabricated for the first time by the electrodeposition technique. All the constituent elements of this heterostructure are cheap, abundant, and non-toxic, and the electrodeposition is also an economic technique. Thus, electrodeposited SnS/ZnO is potentially very advantageous for solar cell production. We adopted pulsed-bias for both ZnO and SnS deposition. Fabricated ZnO/SnS structures showed good rectification properties. The conversion efficiency was still low, about 0.01%, which was mainly because the light was incident on the absorption layer (SnS) side.
