摘要

A new method for 3-D adaptive finite element mesh generation was developed. Various modes for refined mesh generation are provided. They are center-point mode, datum-curve mode, datum-surface mode, etc. According to the geometric and physical features of the solid object, appropriate modes for refined mesh generation will be defined to act on the special areas. As a result, an information field of element size is built in manner of project. It is used to provide the information of element size dynamically in the process of mesh generation. Then an algorithm based on Delaunay triangulation is developed for adaptive mesh generation. The method is applied successfully to 3-D adaptive finite element mesh generation, taking the geometric and physical features of the object into consideration as a whole.
