摘要

In this paper, multigrid algorithm is constructed for the coupling system arising from discretization of the Dirichlet exterior problem by coupling the natural boundary element method with the finite element method. The convergence of the multigrid algorithm is obtained and the rate of convergence is uniformly bounded which is independent of the number of levels and the mesh sizes of all levels. This indicates the multigrid algorithm is optimal.
