New criteria for model reduction of sampled data control systems

摘要

Optimal controller design for sampled-data systems using model reduction tools is proposed and illustrated with practical examples. New criteria for quantitative selection of reduced order models are proposed and shown to be effective for processes with large transport lags. The results presented in the paper are less restrictive than the existing ones on model reduction of such systems.
