THE IMPACT OF ONLINE TEACHING/LEARNING IN EDUCATION

Every culture and society shaped by the structure and content of their educational system. Today, the technology of computer is offering many opportunities to educating system around the world. The Internet will certainly continue to expand its impact on education and society around the world. The teacher of the future should be not only accomplished in instructional techniques and technology, but also in the properly integration of technology into the curriculum. The integration is not putting computers in the classroom without teacher training, it is using computers effectively and efficiently to allow students to learn in a better ways. We should remember that, technology integration is having the curriculum drive technology usage, not having technology drive the curriculum. This paper focuses on use of the technology of computer system in the education. A brief review of the technology is provided, as well as a look at current technology in the field. Then a review of advantages and disadvantages of the utilization of the computer technology in education is discussed.
