A Comparison of Multifunction Device Designs

Multifunction devices for mobile phones serve as a loudspeaker for speechreproduction and audio incoming call alert and as a device for vibration call-alert.Several mechanical configurations for multifunction devices are compared betweeneach other and against traditional, discrete components. The trade-offs inperformance versus size reduction and assembly simplicity are given.
