Workshop and panel discussions

摘要

The purpose of this workshop is to discuss how electrostatics, in particular ESD, is playing an increasingly important role in mangetic recording technology. The workshop will focus on pointing out the problems which have been experienced in the processing and handling of giant magnetoressitive (GMR) heads, from water to finished disk drive, and then discuss the solutions. Other ESD issues, for example with thin film disks, will also be discussed.
