The rapid differentation of bacteria grwon in liquid media was achieved using an electronic mnose containing a conducting polymer sensor arrayu. The differential ability of the electronic nose was compared between the headspace of micro-organisms grown in nutrient both and on nutrient agar plates. Initial results suggest that microbial differentation iks not improved by using liquid media headspace.
