Immobilized insulin for peroral usage and high-prolonged activity insulin for subcutaneous usage

The review of scientific literature data shows the continuing intensive research on creation of peroral form of insulin. However, absence of commercial form of peroral insulin in wide medical practice means that this problem is still unresolved. The advantages of peroral form of insulin in comparison with the forms for injections in treatment of patients with insulindependent as well as with non-insulindependent diabetes are quite evident. Our purpose was the creation of insulin preparation stable to proteolytic activity of gastrointestinal enzymes and having marked hypoglycemic effect in peroral usage. At the same time we considered important to create the super long activity insulin form for subcutaneous usage.
