Abstract: Langmuir-Blodgett films from p-terphenyl and anthracene with cetyl alcohol are fabricated on silicon substrates. A fluorescence decay kinetics of such films is studied. Fluorescence decay time at photoexcitation and at excitation by $alpha@-particles is determined. It is shown that a scintillator based on the Langmuir-Blodgett film is more fast-response than conventional scintillators based on single crystals.!7
