摘要

Study of phase change heat transfer of phase change material (PCM) in building walls is very useful for insulation and energy storage in buildings. This paper presented the numerical study of heat transfer of drywalls with phase change capsule in building envelopes. The research provided a theoretical model to determine the temperature distribution and heat transfer in building walls when they are used in heat conduction outside capsules mode and phase change heat transfer mode inside capsules. The analysis used the typical parameters reported by the phase change capsules manufacturers such as the capsule’s diameters and the volume ratio of the capsules to the whole walls. The phase change heat transfer in building walls with phase change capsules at different outdoor conditions was studied.
