Dewatering is the process of separating a mixture of solids and liquids. Using vibrating screen is one of the possible methods of slurry dewatering with water content of more than 10%. Antam Pongkor has an equipment called Loaded Carbon Vibrating Screen for separating active carbon from slurry. Increasing screen capacity is a must when productions increase. Increasing the capacity of screening can be done by selecting the optimal screen aperture size and using spray water for wet screening. For better dewatering effect, horizontal screen with negative incline is used. After several calculation, analysis, and experimenting, Loaded Carbon Vibrating Screen capacity increase at least 200% with this new configuration compared with previous results.
