Vibrating Dewatering Screens in Mechanical Process-Engineering

Vibrating dewatering screens, also frequently referred to as screen dewaterers, are a standard machine type in mechanical process-engineering, and are used to reduce the ultimate moisture content of solids, and for separation of solids/liquid mixtures. Schauenburg MAB GmbH has more than 40 years of experience in the development, construction and utilization of vibrating dewatering screens, heavy-duty type, for the most diverse range of tasks. Such machines function on the "dewatering from thick layers with high specific throughputs on robust, durable screen decks" principle. Further development of these machines, in terms of their size, versatility, mechanical durability and accessories, has resulted in a significant broadening of their potential applications. Results in this field, and on the influence of the feed material and the necessary machine parameters, are examined. The largest dewatering surface area installed in a machine for fine-particled material has a size of 30 m~2.
