To optimize airborne EWIS redundancy design, failure tree method was applied to analyze the reliability of parallel-series system and series-parallel system. Multi-random variable “minimization maximum” and “maximization minimum” methods were applied to analyze the EWIS cumulative distribution function. When the life span cumulative distribution function of functional module was known, the redundancy systems life span cumulative distribution function were reduced. If electrical wire life span was from exponential distribution, the simulation calculation results indicated: the reliability of parallel-series system was better than series-parallel system; the longer the systems worked, the larger the margin was. The research results are meaningful for airborne EWIS redundancy design.
