Structural and optical investigation in holmium doped Y2M0O6 nanophosphors

The structural and optical characterization of the Ho3+:Y2MoO6 nanophosphors have been performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and frequency upconversion (UC) emission studies. The intense green emission has been observed in the developed phosphors under 980 nm diode laser excitation. The UC emission peaks have been observed at green, red and NIR regime. The calculated CIE coordinate (0.31, 0.68) lies in the green colour region which indicates that the developed nanophosphors can be used in green light display devices and near infrared to visible upconverter.
