Towards an efficient final year project examination: Rules and regulation

摘要

Final Year Project is a compulsory course taken by students during the final year of their studies, whereby they undertake an individual project over the course of two semesters. These projects are typically research-based or development- based projects. One of the challenges is to achieve fair and efficient examination of students' work in terms of reporting and the quality of work. The reports are typically examined by the students' supervisors and examiner(s). The problem arises when there is inconsistency in scores, as most evaluation can be subjective. A set of rules and regulations is proposed to work towards a more efficient implementation and assessment process in this paper.
