Comparing techniques of segmenting hand region

The sign language recognition is the most popular research area involving computer vision, pattern recognition and image processing. It enhances communication capabilities of the mute person. In this paper, we present very important different techniques for segmenting object based key frame selections of hand region for gesture reorganization. We proposed video object plane generation segmentation and histogram based segmentation these two techniques for segmenting hand region from static image or video sequences of single handed American Sign Language. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme for segmenting American Sign Language.
