On behalf of the ASME 2016 International Conference on Nuclear Engineering (ICONE24) organizers, I would like to extend to you our warmest welcome to Charlotte, North Carolina, the mid-Atlantic energy hub! We are delighted to collaborate with long-time partners. The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), Chinese Nuclear Society (CNS) and be located with the ASME 2016 Power & Energy Conference. We hope that ICONE-24 will serve as a catalyst to help the global nuclear resurgence. This year the ASME Nuclear Engineering Division (NED) will celebrate its 60th Anniversary. The NED was founded in 1955, and it continues to be a strong global voice for the nuclear community today.
