Towards Business Process Management Based Workplace e-Learning

摘要

In the current fast evolving world, employees are continuously challenged to acquire new skills and competencies while at work. Business Process Management is more and more employed to support and manage the complex processes carried out within organizations. We propose to use BPM also to drive workplace e-learning, with the advantage of aligning real tasks to training tasks. The objective is to map business activities to learning tasks and use available business process management and monitoring techniques to support, advice, simulate and monitor the learning activities. The final goal of the proposal is to design, develop and validate a framework for process-oriented learning. Our work will help at exploiting the potential of business process techniques to support effective and realistic workplace e-learning activities.
