Hydraulic actuator has been commonly applied in industrial application owing to its fast response and capability to handle heavy load. Good system identification for hydraulic is necessary in order to understand the system so that further action such as control design can be implemented. Due to its nonlinearities, the system is quite hard to model. With the proposed identification method, Fractional-Order Model (FOM), the nonlinearities that could not be represented by AutoRegressive with Exogenous input (ARX) model will be presented.
