摘要

In this paper, we will introduce a grey relational analysis-based method to evaluate level of service (LOS), which is considered to be one significant factor of the overall evaluation of comprehensive transportation hub. Passengers are the objects that the comprehensive transportation hub serves, and the services are offered by certain facilities which constitute the interface between the hub and passengers. In this paper, these facilities are defined as the passenger-oriented facilities. Aiming at evaluation of level of service of passenger-oriented facilities, an index system is built, as well as the standards of level of service. Applying grey relational analysis, this paper presents a new method for evaluation of the level of service by calculating and sorting the grey relational grade between the set of observed data from the passenger-oriented facilities based on the indexes and the reference sets from the standards. Finally, we will demonstrate how this method may be used through one example.
