The Varying Mechanism Analysis and FEM of DTG in Storage Conditions

This paper analyzes the varying mechanism of the parameters which effect the DTG (Dynamically Tuned Gyroscope) long-term stability in storage conditions. On the basis of the analysis result above, the finite element modeling (FEM) of the DTG is established according to the variation of the rotor material with the temperature. In this model, firstly the rotor centroid shift was computed with temperature as variable. And then, the relationship between the rotor centroid shift and drift coefficient related to g is obtained. A simulation is made under the model using the actual dimensions and material properties from a given DTG, meanwhile, an temperature test is made with the DTG. Finally, data from the simulation and the experiment is compared and the result shows that the tendency is basically consistent which verifies the validity of this model. All of the above lays the foundation for the further research on parameters accelerating change mechanism model of inertial platform.
