Field emission displays operate at lower voltages and significantly higher current densities than CRTs. This requires higher luminous efficiency and thermally stable phosphor materials. Many new phosphor materials for low voltage applications have been investigated[1,2]. SrGa{sub}2S{sub}4:Eu{sup}(2+) phosphors have been synthesized by different methods[3,4] and have been made to apply in FEDs[5]. In this study, cathodoluminescent properties of SrGa{sub}2S{sub}4:Eu{sup}(2+) phosphor which was synthesized by high temperature solid phase reaction[6] have been studied.
