Effect of microstructure on mechanical properties of Ti-0. 06Fe and Ti-0. 4Fe sheets were investigated. Ti-0. 4Fe contains more iron than conventional commercially pure titanium grades. Various grain sizes of both compositions were obtained by changing annealing temperature and time. Average grain size of α phase in Ti-0. 4Fe was much smaller than that in Ti-0. 06Fe as less than 10μm when annealed at 903-1073K for Imin. When annealed at 1073K for lOOOmin,average grain size became 21μm in Ti-0. 4Fe Total elongation increased as α grain size became larger in Ti-0. 06Fe, however the trend did not occur in Ti-0. 4Fe. It is supposed that the existence and distribution of β phase significantly affected ductility in Ti-0. 4Fe.
