摘要

Due to the sensitivity to pH- and temperature, the PVA-Ma/PNIPAAm matrices can be considered as smart hydrogels. Their elastic modules are enhanced by increase the PVA-Ma/NIPAAm ratio. The presence of methacryloyl groups on PVA-Ma tends to increase cytotoxicity. As compared to respective PVA-Ma hydrogels and to positive (silicon) and negative (HDPE) controls the IPN hydrogels showed good cytocompatibility. The IPN hydrogels synthesized in this work presented characteristics that potentize their use as biomaterials. Finally, it can be stressed that the LCST of PVA-Ma/PNIPAAm IPN hydrogels can be adjusted to close of human body temperature what increases the interest for such materials.
