With the rapid development of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in urban area, many residential communities are construction near or around the main stations of the MRT. These residential communities are said to Transit Oriented Development (TOD) community. The parking demand and place planning in TOD community is different to traditional community since their different land-use principal and mode. Analysising the main factors which influence the parking demand of TOD communities, combine with the land-use mode in TOD communities and a forecast model of shared parking for parking demand is proposed to TOD community in urban area. Based on this model, a method is presented to calculate parking lots in TOD district. Finally, a sample is used to identify this model and calculate method in a TOD planning project.
