University Organizational Model: A Theoretical Framework Based on Knowledge Analysis

The essence of university is knowledge creation and knowledge dissemination. The knowledge of the university can be divided into two parts: the knowledge of the organization itself and that of social needs. By analyzing the relationship between different categories of knowledge and different forms of organizations, and the relationship between different ways of the creation and dissemination of knowledge, we can build the basic analysis framework of the organization model and recognize the basic characteristics and foundation of the different organization models. The best model of organization could be explored in this way. Moreover, we also find that, under the knowledge economy, the network organizational model will become the dominant form of the university and it will play a critical role in the university governance system.
