摘要

This paper, based on Krashen's theory about Second Language Acquisition and Schumann's Acculturation Model as well as the consideration of essential characteristics of reading comprehension, is a study of strategies for reading in college English teaching. According to this theoretical frame, the author's view is that language input enhancement and acculturation are effective methods to improve teaching quality of college English reading in China.
