This paper is concerned with observer-based exponential stability for networked control systems (NCSs) with data packet dropout. Firstly, the data packet dropouts both the sensor-to-controller and the controller-to-actuator are considered, which are modeled as two independent Bernoulli distributed white sequences respectively. Then an observer is designed to estimate the system state, and an augmented model for NCSs is proposed. Finally, based on Lyapunov stability theory combined with linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) techniques, a sufficient condition is derived for NCSs to be exponentially mean-square stable.
