Shot is a very common form of material used to fill crucibles for thermal deposition, but many customers do not realized that source material can be optimized to increase pack density. Depending on crucible design, changing the size or form of shot will offer longer run times by increasing the density of source material within the crucible. This poster discusses various material forms available and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
