摘要

A total of 10 high-strength concrete columns confined by high-strength lateral ties were tested under eccentric loading. The test parameters included the arrangement,spacing of confinement reinforcement and the eccentricities. Test results indicate that,HSC columns confined by lateral ties with small spacing and high strength show extremely ductile behavior. Also the experimental bearing capacities of eccentrically loaded member with compression failure are well above the analytical capacities indicated by the interaction diagrams based on the code. It will be conservative to design eccentrically loaded HSC columns confined by high-strength steels with compression failure according to the current code.
