A stepper motor subdivision driver based on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) is designed to subdivide the inherent step angle, showing a remarkable performance. This paper proposes a system that provides a combination between a subdivision driver and a power driver circuit to archive subdividing a step angle into 256 micro ones, and this system can perform stable, precise, and responsive. The experimental results verify the performance of the subdivision driver programming and the design of the hardware.
