A Method of Image Completion for Moving a Large Object

摘要

This paper presents a new approach for image restoration based on structure and texture propagation. This method requests to manually specify missing structure information by extending a few curves from the known to the unknown regions. Then, the appropriate examples are selected to patches from the known regions of around the curves to synthesize target patches of the curves in the unknown regions. Thus, the patches are used to complete the missing structure. For the remained regions that need to be filled, we can use the texture propagation to finish. The experiment results show the method works efficiently on the salient structures.
